In celebration of TANAY’S HANE FESTIVAL, CONQUER OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT in participation with ALTRA SHOES proudly presents the “1st CONQUER THE 7 SUMMITS 60KM TRAIL  ULTRAMARATHON CHALLENGE”This is the first leg of their “The Conqueror Series” – a Conquer Trail Ultramarathon.

The race would be a showcase of Tanay’s finest destinations from the mountains to the lowlands. Get to experience multiple summits, river crossing, waterfalls and caves.  There are among the bonus treats that trail runners would surely love. Some of these attractions are pristine and some are newly publicized. This will be the first point to point trail race which will start at Tablon Elementary School and finish at Tanay Adventure Camp.

The Race Route Preview:

Last September 2, 2016, the team Conquer Absolute Mountaineering Club made a route recon and here are some of interesting spot to look-forward to. All Photos shared by Race Director Benedict to Pinoy Trails.

7 SUMMITS 60KM Race route:

  • This is a 60KM point to point Trail Ultramarathon that starts at Tablon Elementary School and end at Tanay Adventure Camp. Running thru 7 summits  covering 6 baranggays of Tanay, Rizal:
    • Mt. Paliparan
    • Mt. Binutasan
    • Mt. Kayangkangan
    • Mt. Sapari
    • Mt. Ngusong Kabayo
    • Mt. Tangwa
    • Mt. Tuyang
  • Runners will first run towards Barangay Hall of Cuyambay, climb Mt. Paliparan and go to Sitio Tuuy(AS 1/ 2 – KM 8/16). From Sitio Tuuy, the route gowa to Sitio Rawang of Barangay Tandang Kutyo until you reach Calinawan Cave. Take a U-turn at the cave and go back to Sitio Tuuy. The route then follows the trail passing Tuntong Falls and proceed to Tablon Elementary School (AS3 – KM 24 Drop-Bag station). The runners will pass by the Baranggay Hall of Cuyambay again.
  • From Tablon Elementary School, the route crosses Marilaque Highway and proceeds to Sitio Maysawa via Sitio Bakbak. Turn Left at Maysawa Road until you reach the foot of Mount Binutasan (AS 4/6 – KM 31/43: Natural Water Source only).
  • Runners then Traverse / Climb Mt. Binutasan and proceed to Baranggay Sto. Nino (AS5 – 37) via Mount Kayangkangan Traverse climb. Take a loop and go back to Maysawa Road.
  • Runners then Traverse/Climb Mount. Sapari until you reach AS6 – KM 43.
  • Proceed to Baranggay Laiban via Mount Ngusong Kabayo and Mount Tangwa traverse. Your exit point will be at the Laiban Falls. Then proceed to the Baranggay Hall of Laiban (AS7 – KM 49).
  • Runners then traverse Mount. Tuyang on their way to Tanay Adventure Camp via Sitio Dayapa (AS8 – KM – 55) at Baranggay Sampaloc.
  • Finish Line at Tanay Adventure Camp.

30KM Trail Challenge Race route:

  • This is a 30KM point to point Trail Race that starts at Tablon Elementary School and end at Tanay Adventure Camp. The route will go through 5 summits covering 3 barangays of Tanay, Rizal:
    • Mt. Binutasan
    • Mt. Sapari
    • Mt. Ngusong Kabayo
    • Mt. Tangwa
    • Mt. Tuyang
  • Runners will first run crossing the Marilaque Highway and proceed to Sitio Maysawa via Sitio Bakbak. They then turn Left at Maysawa Road until you reach the foot of Mount Binutasan (AS 1/2 – KM 7/13: Natural Water Source only).
  • Runners Traverse / Climb Mt. Binutasan and Mount Sapari until you reach AS2 – KM 12.
  • Proceed to Baranggay Laiban via Mount Ngusong Kabayo and Mount Tangwa traverse. Your exit point will be at the Laiban Falls. Then proceed to the Baranggay Hall of Laiban (AS3 – KM 19).
  • Traverse Mount Tuyang on your way to Tanay Adventure Camp via Sitio Dayapa (AS4  – KM 25).
  • Finish Line at Tanay Adventure Camp.
