Trail Talk by Jon Las Bruce
Jon Las Bruce was popularly known as my “master JLB” or “JLB.” He’s a professor to some because he is the master behind the “Payasso2200” session that creates great impact for developing strongest finisher of some of the Milo Qualifiers today. He is also the course record holder & Champion of 2013 and 2014 CM60 and an Awardee of prestigious Hardcore 100 Miles – Hall of Fame for 2017. Tips on how to run confident on rainy season was his topic. He discussed the different types of gears to used during the typhoon or just torrential rain. JLB presented the different photos of his past trail event to deliver better the talk. He also focused on how to run strategically on muddy surface and how to mingle with it. Surviving the cold weather is hard challenge but there no such thing as bad weather for prepared runners.
Trail Talk by Arlene
Arlene Agulto is among the favorite faces in Pinoy Trail Running. Aside from her captivating smile, she proved that women is as stronger as men in the field of mountain Running. For the record, she is as strong like the known male trail athletes in the trail running scene. She set a good time in King of the Mountain run this year and was a 1st runner-up in Female Category for H1 and the female champion for 2017 Four Lakes 100 event. Arlene is also a certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher and certified Piloxing instructor. During her Talk, she tackled about on how to race or train during red days, how to overcome annoying calls from men during race (night time) and survive unwelcoming local animals (cow, goat, dog, etc.) during event based on her experiences.
Trail Talk is Experience-sharing Ideas
It was a very really fresh approach on trail discussion because it was from actual experiences which you can’t get from books or the net. Everything presented was based on actual experiences by trail athletes in numerous trail event.
