DBB Challenge

DBB Challenge 2017 dares you with a vertical run to the clouds of Mount Batolusong for its uphill challenge on September 10, 2017.  The DBB Downhill Challenge lets you blitz the Mapatag Plateau of Mount Batolusong on September 9, 2017.  That’s 4K worth of adrenaline rush that will both challenge your climbing skills and your resolve on the descent.

A Vertical Race is short but is also a lung-busting one.  DBB Uphill Challenge challenges both your climbing skills and your lung power as you try to run to the clouds as fast as you can.  Mount Batolusong and its sea of clouds awaits you on top which will make the struggle of the climb worth it.  That’s 4 kilometers worth of challenging and technical ascent and that’s happening on September 10, 2017.

DBB Downhill Challenge is made for the adrenaline junkies who wish to go daredevil on the descent of Mapatag Plateau, Mt Batolusong.  It’s a first of its kind experience and it’s gonna be a fun and scenic ride for a 4 kilometer worth of descents.  It’s gonna be a short but really intense run downhill happening on September 9, 2017.

Are you up for the challenge?  Be Trail Ready and see you on September 9 and 10 at Mount Batolusong. DBB Challenge 2017 is presented by Be Trail Ready. Limited Slots only and event takes place rain or shine.

Date and Venue:

  • Downhill Challenge
    • Date: 7AM-Sept. 09
    • Venue: Basketball Covered Court at Brgy. San Andres, Tanay Rizal
  • Uphill Challenge
    • Date: 5AM-Sept. 10
    • Venue: Mapatag Plateau, Mt Batolusong

Fees and Inclusions

  • 4KM Uphill Challenge – P700
  • 4Km Downhill Challenge – P700
    • Inclusions: Finisher Medal, Finisher Shirt, BTR Bandana, Personalized Bib Number and Raffle

Registration

  • Period: July 22, 2017 – August 18, 2017
  • Procedure:
    • Pay the registration fee through:
      • Rayman D. delos Angeles (BPI S/A No. 3199-1456-56)
    • Send a scanned/pic copy of the deposit slip to btrdbbchallenge@yahoo.com with your name, gender and size of finisher shirt . Subject: DBB CHALLENGE REGISTRATION and wait for confirmation through email. Please keep and present the deposit slip when claiming the race kit on the race day.

Getting There

  • Private Transportation
    • From Cubao take Aurora Blvd. East Bound and continue straight to Marcos Highway. You will pass by Sta. Lucia Grand Mall, Masinag, and Cogeo. After Cogeo, you will traverse zigzag roads.
    • You will pass by Palo Alto and Garden Cottages. A few kilometer you reach the welcome arc to Brgy. San Andres will be on your left (KM Post 51).
  • Public Transportation
    • From Cubao, take a jeep or FX to Cogeo Gate 2. Once in Cogeo, proceed to the jeepney terminal adjacent to the market and take the jeepney going to Sampaloc. Tell the driver to drop you off at Brgy. San Andres “Batangasan”.
      Hire a tricycle to Brgy. San Andres Basketball Court

Mandatory Equipment:

  • 4Km Uphill Runners:
    • Each runner must be self-contained or self-reliant with the following mandatory items:
      • Hydration bottle/vest with least 1 Liters of water
      • Trail food
      • Whistle
      • Fully charged cellphone
      • Headlamp/Flashlight
  • 4Km Downhill Runners:
    • Each runner must be self-contained/ self-reliant with the following mandatory items:
      • Hydration bottle/vest with at least 1L of water
      • Trail food
      • First aid kit
      • Whistle
      • Fully charged cellphone
  • These mandatory items will be check upon checked-in at the starting line and will be randomly checked during the race.
