Tanay is the Home of Adventure and Nature Experience and is among the oldest towns in Rizal, Province. On October 20, 2024, Tanay brings in that adventure and nature experience in one event, HANE Mountain Festival with a race featuring 1K, 12K and 25K distances along the picturesque slopes of Mount Kalbaryo.
HANE Mountain Festival
Tanay is among the most gifted town when it comes to tourism, adventure and nature. The town enjoys a portion of the Sierra Madre Mountain range and has been a home of popular mountain hikes and trail running events. HANE Mountain Festival is set to treat trail runners with another scenic visual display on October 20, 2024. Runners get to start at Barangay Madilay-dilay, Tanay and then ascend Mount Kalbaryo. At 608 meters above sea level, Mount Kalbaryo has a majestic view of Daraitan and Tinapak River. The up and down trail is a challenge but the rewarding view at the top and the mystical mossy forest trail make the adventure worth taking.
Take your pick with a 12K middle distance run or a more challenging 25K run to quench your cravings for adventure. There’s even a 1K kids race for the young ones. So lace your trail running shoes, register and get dirty at the Home of Adventure and Nature Experience (HANE).
