Hangaway 2017 brings you the beauty of the trails of Antique.  It’s a tough race complete with elevation challenge and obstacles along the 22.5 kilometers and 12 kilometers routes.  The race also offers a newbie friendly 7 kilometers road to trail race.  Hangaway 2017 is happening on May 14, 2017 at Egana, Sibalom, Antique.

Antique has been known to be the home of the warriors.The Antiqueños has a rich tradition of bravery. They are believed to be descendants of Datu Sumakwel,  the brave warrior and leader of the 10 Bornean datus who first settled in the Island of Panay in the 13th century.   The bravery and valor returns on the grounds of Egana, Sibalom, Antique on May 14, 2017 as the warriors get to test their mettle in Hangaway 2017.

Hangaway is now on its second year.  Apart from the tough man’s race expected on event day, the trails will showcase the sheer beauty of  Antique.  Join the 22.5 kilometer and 12 kilometer that’s gonna be a trail challenge with obstacles or a much friendlier road to trail 7 kilometer experience.  The obstacles will be a combination of a test of skill by hitting a bottle with a slingshot, crawls, test of strength and elevation challenges.  There will be mud crawls, rappel climb, sandbag carry and ice pool for the longer distances.

Be prepared and get ready for an epic adventure.  It’s time to challenge the warrior in you for Hangaway 2017.

• SUMLAYHAW: 7K Road/Trail – Race Bib Event Shirt, and Certificate – Php550.00
