The Monte Alba Trail Run promises to give you all kinds of thrills and excitement. It’s composed of 5% road, 40% paved trail, 35% access trail and 20% rock scrambling and that’s definitely 100% whole fun of adventure. This is a race that will surely warm your heart since you’re supporting a very good cause for kids of Rodriguez Rizal athletes.

Monte Alba Half-Marathon

The Monte Alba Half-marathon Trail Run is a tie-up project of Team MARUPOK and Bernardo Carpio Running Club (BCRC). This event is a fund raising race for the kids of Rodriguez Swimming team & Boy Scout of Philippines (Rodriguez Council). According to Sir Eric Solina of BCRC, they created the event to support and finance the needs of their athletes on competitions and training.

Monte Alba Half Marathon features the trails of Mt. Binacayan, Mt. Lagyo, Mt. Parawagan and Mt. Susong Dalaga. It’s a 4-in-1 mountain adventure event with minimal fees and race for a good cause.

TRIVIA: Ang Montalban ay hango sa salitang Monte Alba na ang ibig sabihin sa espanyol ay “Bundok ng Bukang-Liwayway” at “Makinang na Puting Bundok” naman sa wikang latin. Tinawag itong Montalban dahil sa kilala nating bundok Pamintinan at Binicayan (Wawa) dahil sa mga puting bato nito at nagnining sila sa umaga sa pagsilip ng araw pag bukang-liwayway.
