Nuun Dirt School has started a new school year at Nuvali last March 19, 2017. A fresh batch of Dirt Schoolers attended a mix of discussion and actual trail run at Nuvali to get to learn and enjoy the beauty of trail running from the trail master himself, Coach Ige Lopez.
Nuun Dirt School
Nuun Dirt School welcomed a fresh set of dirt students at Treveia, Nuvali on the First Leg of the school year. The event started with a lecture about the ins and outs of trail running handled by Coach Ige Lopez. Of course, the best part of the learning is when the runners get to try out the Nuvali trails for the run segment of the session. Nuvali has the friendliest trails, which is relatively flat and is comprised of wide run-able dirt tracks.
The first part of the run was a 4 kilometer run from Treveia to Camp N and to the entry point of the New Zealand trails, which is comprised of dirt surfaces and grassy background. The trails then shifts for a 1 kilometer out and back run to the New Zealand trails, which has a more forest-like backdrop before returning to Treveia.
Everybody enjoyed the trails and got a better appreciation of the outdoors. There are still future classes, wherein you can still enroll for another round of Dirt School. Leg 2 would be about mountain running while Leg 2 would be about Long Distance Running. There’s also a Nuun Dirt Pre-school for kids on April 1 and Nuun Dirt Electives in the coming months. Enrollment is still ongoing.
Nuun is supported by Nuun, Suunto, Salomon and Swiftwick.
