Lagalag Sundown Ecotrail Run was an exploration of the scenic trails of Timberland. That’s a lot of overlooking views from the bike trails and rich forested area on rolling terrains. The afternoon run is also a unique feature of the race especially with the warm summer days.
Lagalag Sundown Ecotrail Run
Sundown races are as rare as it gets with most runs happening in the early morning. Lagalag gave the runners an afternoon with a better chance to appreciate the overlooking city views, the rolling open bike trails and the deep forested trails of Timberland. With the summer months in tow, the runners had to go through the course on a hot and humid afternoon. The rolling elevation gave the runners a climb and descent adventure as they navigate the different distances of the trails.
The event attracted a drove of runners from the newbie trail runners looking for a comfortable place to start their journey into trail running to the seasoned elite runners looking for the competitive ambiance and their weekly mileage. Timberland is a scenic haven for a trail run with well maintained trails and its own share of the wild and forested trails.
Anyway, we’d rather let the picture of Pinoy Trails Photographer Jose Ramizares do the talking on this year’s edition of Lagalag Sundown Ecotrail Run.
