Tawid Mountain Marathon

Tawid Mountain Marathon is your running, walking and crawling tour of the town of Bontoc through the alp.  As you go through the course you’ll see  the world-famous rice terraces as well as lakes, plateau, ridges and other breathtaking landscapes.  The marathon distance is a tough man’s race so make sure that you have finished the qualifying races below:

  • Tawid Mountain Marathon 2016
  • Rizal Mountain Run
  • Pilipinas Akyathlon
  • Mt. Ugo Marathon
  • Cordillera Mountain Marathon
  • Lagalag Sundown trail run
  • DBB Events
  • or any 21km up trail races

Also for safety purposes, Medical certificate is a must to all 42km and 22km runners no medical certificate no run.

It’s not an easy course, as you’ll have to endure the climb but as in life, the best things in life are those we worked hard for.  Endure the long climb, and you get a view from the top.  With a growing hoard of endurance mountaineers, trail runners and athletes, Tawid Mountain Marathon is a great test of physical strength, endurance and mental toughness.  They also have a short but still challenging 22K and 12K distance. Either way, you’re in for a scenic running tour of Bontoc on April 30, 2017.
